Johnnie E. Gimnich

Johnnie E. Gimnich of Waco passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Johnnie was born September 10, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Elray and Gloria Gimnich. He and his wife were married 49 years, marrying shortly after he left the Army. He will be missed greatly by his family. He loved God, his family, country fishing and gun sports. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Michael Gimnich. He is survived by his wife, Janie Gimnich of Waco; one son, John Peyton Gimnich of Shreveport; two daughters, April Gimnich of Austin, and Alisa Beecher of Olathe, Kansas; two grandsons, Anthony and Jeremy Beecher; one granddaughter, Ashley Beecher; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie and Robert Gimnich; and one sister, Barbara Leatherman.
