Johnnie Estelle Rosser February 4, 1918 December 7, 2008 J. Estelle Allison Rosser, 90, passed away on Sunday, December 07, 2008 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, December 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 8:00 pm., Tuesday, December 9 in the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Estelle was born February 4, 1918 in Osage, Texas Coryell County to John Payton and Mary Ella Chappell Allison. She attended schools in Concord, Oglesby and Coryell, moving often with her parents and siblings to work for people on farms helping harvest crops. She was reborn and baptized into the Christian faith as a young teenager in Oglesby. She worked in the school cafeteria in Moody. She worked at Clifton Manufacturing Company, Waco Garment Factory and Buchanan Cleaners during WWII. Much later in her life she worked at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Day Care Center where she retired in 1991. She married Thelbert I Rosser on February 7, 1942. They built and moved into their home in Waco in 1952 where she resided until her death. They were long-time members of North Waco Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Thelbert who passed away in May 1999 at age 82; her parents; brother, Doyle Allison; sister, Lorraine Spross; grandchildren, Stinson twins and great-grand children, Khoury triplets. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Blackburn and husband, Dale, June Stinson and Phyllis Orand and husband, Mike, all of Waco; grandchildren, Dawn Khoury and husband, Michael, Cheley Parker and husband, Kevin, Jennifer and Kevin Stinson, Kristi Adams and husband, Andy, Michael Stinson and wife, Lindsey and Jeremy Orand; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren Windham, Kevin Parker, Jr, Cameron and Sarah Khoury; brothers and sisters, Lloyd Allison, Dean Allison and wife, Bunny, Ruby Mahan, Peggy Cunningham all of McGregor and Bobby Van Lieu of Granbury. Pallbearers will be her nephews. We wish to thank the 4th floor nursing staff at Hillcrest Medical Center for all their love and concern during this time. They were wonderful!
