DOTY, JOHNNIE M. Johnnie M. Doty, age 81 of Waco died Monday, December 29, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:30am Monday, January 5 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Dr. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Sunday, January 4 at the funeral home. Ms. Doty was born September 22, 1922 in McGregor. She was reared and educated in Waco. She worked at Owens Illinois Glass Plant for 27 ½ years until her retirement in 1984. She was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, needle work and working jig saw puzzles. She and her special friend, Genefa Watson, made lapel “flags” and “hugs” and shared them with many people. Survivors include daughter, Shirley Glockzin and husband, Gene of Lorena; son, Richard Wayne Doty and wife, Susan of Mexia; grandchildren, Ronny Glockzin and wife, Tammie of Hurst, Donald Glockzin and wife, Patty of Keller, Shelley Myers and husband, Mark of Cedar Park, Deana Majors and husband, Greg of Florida, Steve Doty and wife, Melissa and Russell Doty all of Waco, 12 great grandchildren, five step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Dalrymple, Herb Tepe, Richard Fullerton, Bill Mills, Dale Sanders, and George Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers are Ronny Glockzin, Donald Glockzin, Mark Myers, Greg Majors, Steve Doty, and Russell Doty. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church.
