JOHNNY CURTIS CLARK Johnny Curtis Clark, age 50, of Waco peacefully passed away in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. It is a comfort and a blessing to know that many people’s lives were impacted as they watched how Johnny handled this challenge through God’s strength. Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Durham officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Monday, December 2 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Johnny was born July 18, 1952 in Waco to Clifford and Noogie Clark. He attended Waco schools and worked in the family automobile business while attending school. He graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Business Management in 1975. Johnny married Cindy Herring on December 3, 1976 and they have been blessed with 26 years together. After a seven year career as a stock broker, he returned to Waco and joined his father, grandfather and uncle in business with Clark Motor Company. Johnny is survived by his wife, Cindy Herring Clark; sons, Justin and Travis Clark; parents, Clifford and Noogie Clark all of Waco; brothers, Jack Clark of Waco and Joe Clark and wife Regina of Arlington; nephews, Corey and Chase Clark of Arlington; and grandfather, Clyde Martin of Waco. Pallbearers will be O. M. Rhea, Frank Tirey, Kyle Crow, Dr. Sam Ralston, Dr. Steve Raley, Dr. Mark Story and Whitney Fanning. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins, Dusty Martin, Gary Martin, Calvin Jones and Craig Bryant. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Columbus Avenue Baptist Church or the charity of choice.
