Josephine Frances Scardino

SCARDINO, JOSEPHINE Josephine Scardino, 101, of Temple, formerly of Waco passed away Saturday, January 1, 2005 at a Temple hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 4, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Rev. Don Loftin officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Monday, January 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Mrs. Scardino was born November 28, 1903 in Waco to Joseph and Johanna Rovello. She had lived in Waco all her life and moved to Temple in 2004. She married James Scardino October 18, 1920. He preceded her in death July 6, 1989. She was lovingly remembered by her grandchildren as “Momo.” Mrs. Scardino was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Waco and the Ladies Auxillary of the Knights of Columbus Council #1358. Survivors include daughters, Anthonette Ann Connorty and husband George T. of Temple, Johanna Jo Harrell and husband Charlie of Woodway; grandchildren, Jim Connorty and wife Jacque, Linda Barnes and husband Gene; great grandchildren, Chris Connorty, Lisa Shed and husband Kody; great great grandchildren, Rachel and Grant Shed all of Temple. Pallbearers will be Tony Falsone, John Pavelka, Chris Connorty, Kody Shed, Gene Barnes, P.J. Mulhern and Dr. Robert Barnes. Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
