Joy Walker Tyler October 28, 1934 - August 25, 2015 Joy Walker Tyler of Waco passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Her chapel service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Brad Brittain officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Joy was born October 28, 1934, in Grassland, Texas, to Thurman and Mary Walker. She graduated in 1953 from Waco High and married Weldon Tyler in 1953. They are co-owners of Tyler Distributors. Joy was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Rosemary Goodrich and husband, Leslie. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Weldon Tyler; twin sons, Dicky Tyler and wife, Phyllis, of New Braunfels, Texas, and Ricky Tyler and wife, Kim, of Temple; and daughter, Terri Tyler Hafer of Hewitt; grandchildren, Teffani Davis and husband, Tracy, Seth Tyler and wife, Carrie, Dustin Tyler and wife, Katie, Hannah Hafer and Hallie Hafer; great grandchildren, Rylee Davis and Tyce Tyler; brothers, Gary Walker and wife, Jan, and John Walker and wife, Leslie; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Jamey Davis, Leslie Davis, Royce Davis, Kevin Collins, Randy Painter and Barry Williams. Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, Central United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
