Joyce Marie Hobson February 23, 1931 April 28, 2012 Joyce Marie Hobson, 81, of Plantersville, Texas, passed away April 28, 2012, in Grimes St. Joseph Hospital in Navasota, Texas. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Joyce was born to Ethel and Albert Clarence Battle on February 23, 1931, in Waco. She graduated from Midway High School as the Valedictorian in 1948. She married Ronald Hobson in January, 1953. She will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David; granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Christin; grandson, Michael; and sister Erma Wallace. She is survived by sons Leonard and wife, Katrina, Vernon, Doug and wife, Jeanie, Raymond and wife, Vicky; and daughter Helen Kirsch. She is also survived by brother Wendell and wife, Mary Battle; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Christopher Kirsch, Dwayne Kirsch, Ryan Hobson, Alan Hobson, Troy Smith and William Tew.
