Juan Angel Morales-Rodriguez, Sr.

Juan Angel Morales-Rodriguez, Sr., 67 of Waco, passed peacefully from this earth, Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation for Juan will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd in Waco, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be at 1:30 PM, Thursday, October 10, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco. Honoring Juan, pallbearers will be Luis Morales, Giovanni Saldaña, Antonio Ledesma, Jr., Manuel Perez, Jose Montelongo, Jr., and Juan Montelongo.

Juan was born, January 21, 1957 in Durango, Mexico to the late Federico Morales and Amelia Rodriguez-Morales. Juan married his wife, Juana Castro, after many years of loving and courting her, April 19, 2013. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Juan worked for Cargill here in Waco for over 25 years in the sanitation department. He retired in 2020. Going to visit extended family in Mexico and practicing his marksmanship with his gun was always a fun time. Juan spent his retirement years watching an old western movie, or his favorite Novela, while having a good cold Dr. Pepper and his favorite smokes. He always enjoyed time spent with family and friends eating Chinese food or Chili Relleno.

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Amelia Morales; his loving wife, Juana Castro Morales in 2015; sister, Berta Rodriguez; and step-son, Jose Saldaña.

Juan leaves to cherish his memory his loving children, Blanca Figueroa, Dulce Morales, Amelia Morales, Juan Morales, Jr. and his wife, Ana Sandoval, and Luis Morales; siblings, Gracelia Rodriguez, Maria Saldana, Frederico Morales, Pedro Morales, Lucrecia Morales, Maria Guadalupe Morales, and Susana Maldonado; five step-children; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; along with numerous other loving family and friends.

Juan will be deeply missed and his loving care of his family will be cherished throughout their lives.
