Juanda Chloris Lillard August 14, 1923 October 15, 2008 Juanda Lillard passed away peacefully on the morning of October 15, 2008. Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Juanda was born August 14, 1923, and raised in Meridian, Texas, as the youngest of six children to Homer and Sarah Jordan. Juanda attended school in Meridian and later moved to Waco where she attended 4C Business College and went to work for the Veterans Hospital. Later, Juanda met and eventually married Robert Louis Lillard on July 27, 1951, and they had two sons. Juanda transferred to the Veterans Administration Regional Office where she worked until she retired. During her retirement, Juanda enjoyed her family, flower arranging, and became a judge for flower arrangement competitions. She was an active member of her local garden club. Although having no grandchildren of her own, Juanda greatly enjoyed her many nieces and nephews and watching the growth of their children. Juanda is survived by her sons, Robert Louis Lillard Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M.; Jordan Hal Lillard of Waco; her sister, Elva Arabella Brantley of Meridian; and her many nieces, nephews, and their children.
