Juanita Janie D. Moreno

Juanita Janie D. Moreno March 26, 1935 – December 13, 2006 Juanita Janie D. Moreno of Waco passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. She was 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Monday, Dec. 18 at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Father David Leibham as Celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm and visitation will follow on Sunday, Dec. 17 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Janie was born March 26, 1935 to Crescencio and Emilia Moreno. She graduated from Waco High and was a graduate of the last class at Providence Nursing School. Janie was a devout Catholic and she devoted her life to God. She believed the way to Heaven was to help the weak, the sick and the poor. She worked at Providence Hospital for 42 years before retiring. Janie was very proud of her niece and her three nephews who she helped raise as her own. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Survivors include her brothers, Jose Moreno, Chavelo Moreno and Gabriel Moreno; sisters, Carmen Moreno and Rose Beitia; nephews, Christopher David Moreno, Martin Moreno, Crescentio Ralph Moreno and Yogi Beitia; nieces, Samantha Janie Gonzales and Emily La Chance; great-nieces, Jordan Moreno, Marie Gonzales, Antoinette Gonzales, Olivia Gonzales and Sophia Gonzales.
