June Beatty

Syble June Beatty, 96, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at The Atrium of Bellmead.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

June was born on July 28, 1928, in Milford, Texas, where she grew up and graduated from Italy High School. After moving to Waco, she began working at Amicable Life in the Alico Building. It was during this time that she met Charles Beatty, who was home on leave from WWII; they married in April 1948. June devoted herself to her family as an active mother and housewife while raising their three children. She later became a medical secretary for Dr. Milton Sparks until his retirement. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated member of the Columbus Ave Church of Christ, where she also worked as a secretary.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Solon and Florene Fudge; and her husband, Charles Beatty.

She is survived by her three children, son, Steve Beatty and wife, Linda of China Spring; daughter, Nancy Mullens of Riesel; and son, Coke Beatty and wife, Mitzi of Granbury; she is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sean Beatty, Ryan Schneider, Josh Mullens, Aaron Mullens, Collin Beatty, Jordan Beatty, and Blake Beatty.
