June Fern Gillespie passed from this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones. No services will be held.
June was born June 29, 1946, in Anderson County in East Texas. She married the love of her life, Leo Gillespie, on May 17, 1960. Together they had a beautiful life and four children.
June was a devoted military spouse. They had many military moves and adventures. She worked as a nurse’s assistant and later as a leasing agent at several apartment complexes. June and Leo retired and moved to McGregor, TX, where they lived until their passing. Leo preceded her in passing on September 20,2020.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Wanda Carol Lee (Johnny) of Palestine, TX; her children, Karyl Hufford (Jesse) of Spanaway, Washington; Wayne Gillespie (Brenda) of Belton, TX; Mike Gillespie of California; Debra Williams of Texas; and Marcus Gillespie of Arkansas. June was loved by her nine grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
