Justein "Sis" Osment

September 17, 1921 — January 15, 2013

Justein Osment September 17, 1921 - January 15, 2013 Justein "Sis" Osment of McGregor passed into Eternal Life Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Sis will be laid to rest beside her husband, "Red," at Fairview Cemetery, Hubbard, Texas. Graveside services are pending under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, Waco, TX. Justein was born September 17, 1921, in New Braunfels, Tex., to loving parents, L.C. and Ida Wenzel. Sis married the love of her life, Welton R. Osment, on April 6, 1946, in Waco. They enjoyed 53 years together until separated by his death on April 12, 1999. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and GaGee. Her family and friends were blessed to have shared her optimism, cheerfulness, beautiful smile and zest for life. Justein was christened into the Lutheran faith as an infant, confirmed at age 14, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Rosenberg, TX. She was a current member of Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor. Sis was known for her love of people and dancing. Over the years, she and Red enjoyed memberships in various dance clubs in Houston and Waco. She started to dance as a toddler and loved to "scoot a boot", whether it was polka, waltz, Cotton-Eyed Joe or Texas 2 Step. She graduated Richmond High School in 1939. Sis was very proud of her German heritage and upbringing on the family farm outside of Rosenberg. She often told stories of riding her beloved horse, "Coaly," to Randon School; working alongside her family in the cotton field, and the wonderful garden her mother maintained. She credited the abundance of her life on the farm to her loving, industrious, hardworking and dedicated parents. When we leave this life, we take nothing with us. It is what we leave behind in the hearts of our of our loved ones that counts. Her loving heart stopped beating and her life on earth is done, but her "Life Lessons" will live on through all those who knew and loved her. Victory in Jesus is her gain, and soothes our pain. Praise HIS Holy Name! Justein Osment was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Welton Richard, "Red," Osment; identical twin son, Larry W. Dudley; great grandson, Austin Scott Baker; only sibling and older sister, Ida Mae Reynolds; and niece, Sandra Jo Davenport. To treasure their beloved mother's memory are her children: identical twin son, Garry W. Dudley and wife, Tina, of Colorado Springs, Co; daughters, Marjorie Landgrebe and husband, Victor, of Dew, TX, and Nell Dudley of Orange Park, FL; her eight adored and precious grandchildren, Amanda, Virginia, Debbie, Mark, Barbie, Brian, Elizabeth and Richard. They gifted her with 12 great-grandchildren, Cody, Collin, Conner, Travis, Cooper, Taylor, Austin, Jason, Katelyn, Garrett, Kayla and Megan. She is also survived by her niece, Dianne Walger and husband, Bobby, of Beasley, TX.
