Kathryn Fern Thompson July 1, 1916 - June 12, 2008 Kathryn Fern Thompson, age 91, of San Diego, CA passed away Thursday, June 12, 2008. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 16, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Gene Tyson officiating. Kathryn was born July 1, 1916 in Childress, Texas to Benton and Eva Crowell. She and Parker Thompson were married March 7, 1936 in San Bernardino, CA and recently celebrated 72 years of marriage. She was a homemaker, gardener, loved to travel, loved being with friends and family. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her loving husband, Parker; sons, Larry and wife, Michele of Georgetown; and Melvin and wife, Dianne of Lynden, WA; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
