Kathryn Kunkel Alders

Kathryn Kunkel Alders, 79, passed away December 17th, 2023, at The Blake at Waco.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 22, 2023, in the Chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.

Kathryn was born and raised in Temple, Texas, but has made Waco her home for the last 34 years. She attended Temple High while furthering her education at The University of North Texas and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Kathryn then continued her education, and received her MBA from Abilene Christian University. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of the Church of Christ denomination. Kathryn was a Traveler, a well renowned Health Advisor, and an avid reader.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie Bridges Kunkel and Walter Kunkel; and her partner, Doris Marie Harper.

Survivors include her son, Bradley Dean Alders; grandson, Jordan Blake Alders, and his wife, Sara Alders; grandson, Garrett Mason Alders, and wife, Kelli Alders; grandson, Kameran Lee Scott; great-grandchildren, Kaidyn Alders, and Walker Alders; sister, Martha Rowe, and husband, David; sister, Ann Fernandes; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Alders, Jordan Alders, Garrett Alders, Kameran Scott, Danny Scott, and Jonathon Smart.
