KATHRYN ROGERS JACKSON Kathryn Rogers Jackson passed away Friday, March 14, 2003 in Waco. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 17 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Tom Robbins officiating. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Kathryn was born December 21, 1913 in Bonham, Texas to Robert Martin and Katie Benton Rogers. She married Alson Woodrow “Woody” Jackson in November of 1934. She spent 25 years working with Woody at Woody Jackson Chevrolet in McGregor. She also spent 20 years serving as a volunteer at Hillcrest Baptist Hospital. Kathryn was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in McGregor and Austin Avenue United Methodist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woody, after 52 years of marriage, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include her son, Robert Bobby Rogers Jackson; grandchildren, Christi Jackson Crain and Byron Jackson; sister, Mrs. W.T. Nita Huffman of Kerrville; three nephews; and one niece. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at St. Catherine’s Center, Providence Hospice and Dr. Olmsted and staff for the wonderful care they gave to Kathryn during her illness.
