KATIE HAMILTON Katie Hamilton passed away Thursday, December 13th. Services will be at First Baptist Church in Enid, OK on Tuesday, December 18th at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Enid Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 17th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home in Enid, OK. Local arrangements are under the direction of WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY, 6101 Bosque. Katie was born on July 30, 1912 in Lexington, Oklahoma to Maggie and Roscoe Dodson. She was a graduate of Weatherford High School. Ms. Hamilton’s many places of employment included Blunk Art Studio, Janzen Oldsmobile, Northcutt Chevrolet and finally, Midwest Oil from which she retired at the age of 82. She was a member of W.M.U. and A.W.B.A. and was elected as businesswoman of the year. Throughout her life, she was an active member of First Baptist Church where she volunteered and taught Sunday school. She also volunteered at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital for 30 years. Katie is preceded in death by her son, J.C. Hamilton, her parents, Maggie and Roscoe Dodson, sisters Hattie Burchfield and Jessie Hitchcock, brothers, George and Ollie Dodson. She is survived by her sister Ruby Willis, her brother J.H. Dodson, her daughter-in-law Kay Hamilton, her grandchildren; John Hamilton and Elizabeth Kiraly, Bruce and Nashim Hamilton, Kimberly and Chris Ficken and Brett Hamilton; her great-grandchildren, Paul, Amir, Shahana, Zachary and Zane; step-grandchildren Steve and Tracy Ropp, Susan and Jeff Button and their daughter, Michelle. Katie was a wonderful blessing to her family and will be greatly missed.
