Kenneth Geisler December 23, 1928 - February 10, 2009 Kenneth Geisler of Waco went to be with our Lord Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his family and friends following a brief illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Stephen Ramsdell and Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6- 8 p.m. Thursday, February 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Kenneth was born December 23, 1928, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Bert and Lillian Ballman Geisler. He graduated from Waco High School in 1947 and Baylor University with a BBA in 1959. Before attending Baylor he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict from 1950 to 1952. He worked for the Waco Tribune-Herald while attending the university. He and Jerrie Wells were married on November 19, 1955. He retired from McLane Company of Temple in 1997 after 33 years as financial controller. Kenneth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waco. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Marcella Geisler, Margaret Middlebrook and brother-in-law, Charles F. Wells, Jr. He is survived by wife of 53 years, Jerrie Geisler; and Aggie, his beloved dog; brothers, Robert Bob Geisler and Walter Geisler and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Ruby Wells; cousin, Dr. Buford Wells and wife, Julia; nieces and nephews, Ann and Mike Harder, Charles and Jeanne Wells, Ed and Sharon Wells, Audra and John Whitten and Walter and Tammy Geisler; numerous great nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends, Maria Salazar, Johnnie Ross and Sophia Romero. Honorary pallbearers are members of Odell Dudley Sunday School Class and the Waco Senior Kiwanis Club. Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends, First United Methodist Church Meals on Wheels and Hillcrest Hospice. A special thanks to the 7th floor nursing staff at Hillcrest.
