Kimberly Ann Sumerour February 20, 1965 - August 15, 2012 Kimberly Ann Sumerour, 47, of China Spring passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at her residence. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3:00 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Kimberly was born February 20, 1965, in Waco, to Fred and Patty McDaniels Lamb. Kim faithfully served her community for many years. Kim attended Midway High School, where she was a standout women's basketball player and loved the choir. She was selected in 1983 to participate in the Texas High School Women's basketball All-Star game, before enrolling in Weatherford College where she was awarded a basketball scholarship. Kim also played basketball at Texas A&M University before transferring to Baylor University, where she received a degree in education. She was a devoted, caring teacher and friend to many special needs children over the past 25-plus years. The Lord is receiving a true angel in Kim. In Kim's spare time she loved to spend time with her family along with creating beautiful jewelry. Kim never missed a Friday night of work at the Heart of Texas Speedway and truly loved the people with whom she worked. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, A.D. McDaniels of Speegleville; uncle, Bobby Lamb; and 1st cousins, June Wellmann Shafer and Jerrell McDaniels. Survivors include her son, Tyler Don Sumerour of China Springs; father and mother, Fred and Patty Lamb, of Speegleville; grandmother, Margarett McDaniels of Speegleville; brother, Charles Lamb and wife, Stacy, of Keller; sister, Melanie Chambers and husband, Richard, of Crawford; nieces, Kristin Lamb, and Carrigan and Ashton Chambers; nephews, Michael Lamb and Breck Chambers; great niece, Caden Lamb; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. "Kim, you light up our lives. You were always there to help when anyone needed someone. You were so creative, so talented, and you could make or create anything. You made every holiday so special, you always did the little special things. We will miss you so much. We love you and we are so proud of you." Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue.
