Larry Don Wofford November 14, 1943 May 16, 2013 Larry Don Wofford, 69, passed away at Providence Hospital, Waco, Texas, on Thursday, May 16, 2013. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, May 23, at 2 PM at First United Methodist Church of Waco officiated by Wayne Williams. Larry was born in Coal Hill, Arkansas on November 14, 1943, to Hazel and C.G. Wofford. He graduated from Clarksville High School as well as College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas in 1965, while also serving in the National Guard. He married Diane Williams Wofford June 17, 1967. They would have celebrated their 46th anniversary this year. Larry worked in the pharmaceutical industry his whole professional life starting right out of college with McKesson Robbins Wholesale Drug Company moving around Texas with every promotion. As a young salesman he traveled all over Texas calling on nearly every independent drugstore in the state making many wonderful treasured friends who remember him as an incredible salesman. Later he became president of Texas Pharmacy Co-Op. For the past 10 years he worked for Data Rx. He loved his family, golf, fishing and travel. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always joking and was one of the most honest, hard working, giving people you could meet. A co-worker described him as the most stubborn kindest man she ever knew. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waco and attended the New Horizons Sunday School class. Larry was preceded in death by his parents. Larry is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Wes Wofford and his wife, Kelly; his granddaughter, Lauren, of Austin, Texas, who knew him as Pops; his sister, Gail and her husband, Joe Norris, of Pottsville, Arkansas, as well as a niece and nephew.
