LaRue Riggs August 14, 1938 - March 14, 2007 LaRue Riggs of Waco passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Pat Cummings and Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. LaRue was born August 14, 1938 in O'Brien, TX to Dick and Avis Nanny Johnston. She and Jerry Riggs enjoyed almost 50 years of marriage, prior to his death in 2002. LaRue will always be remembered for her loving, caring and generous personality. She will be loved and missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, husband, Jerry and great-granddaughter, Tierra. She is survived by her mother, Nanny; son and her “Rock”, J. C. Riggs and wife, Debbie; and daughter, Robin Washington and husband, Robert; sister, Betty Sue Waller; five grandchildren, Jody, Kristi, Amanda, Scott and Shane; great-grandchildren, Cierra, Shannon, Miles and Blake; nephew, Terry Waller; niece, Patty Lewis, and husband, Ricky and their son, Ryan. Pallbearers are McLennan County Sheriff’s Office Special Detail Team.
