OBITUARY FOR LAVERNE ADAMIK LaVerne Adamik, 69, of Woodway, died Sunday at her residence. Graveside services will be at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. David Leibham officiating. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 1124 Washington. Visitation with the family will be after the Rosary. Mrs. Adamik was born in Mount Pleasant May 4, 1932. She moved to Waco in l949 and married Carl Allen Adamik in l950. She went to work at Career Girl Shops as credit manager in l978 and retired in l988. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Survivors: Husband: Carl Allen Adamik of Woodway Son: Joe Adamik and wife Nancy of Red Oak Daughters: Nancy Walker & husband Darrell of Waco Myra Abendschein & husband Gerry of China Spring Sisters: Betty Hughes of Mesquite Sue Bradford and Geneva Blake of Mt. Pleasant Grandchildren: Shelly and Jason Adamik, Glenn Walker, Matt and Anthony Abendschein Several nieces and nephews: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Louis Catholic Church or Providence Hospice.
