L.C. Griffin

L.C. Griffin October 2, 1919 – February 3, 2007 L.C. Griffin, 87, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 3:00 at Rosenthal Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, February 5th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. L.C. was born on October 2, 1919 and was raised in a loving home with his mother, Mary Lou Paulk and his step-father, J.I. Paulk. He graduated Waco High and attended Baylor University. He met and married the love of his life, Lorraine McWilliams, and after 58 wonderful years together, they remained deeply in love until Lorraine preceded L.C. in death in December 2000. L.C. worked for the McLennan County Tax Department for many years. He was an active member of the River Church. L.C. remained a dedicated supporter of all Baylor athletics his entire life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; a daughter, Elizabeth K. Griffin; mother, Mary Lou; step-father, J.I; and brother, Robert Dennis. He is survived by a daughter Pam Matus and husband, Marvin, of Mart; son Rodger Griffin and wife, Pat, of Hallsburg; grandchildren, Jeff Davis and wife, Pam, of Lorena, Michael Davis of Scottsdale, Arizona, Marianne Matus of Houston, Mike Matus and wife, Donna, of Austin; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the K. Griffin Memorial Scholarship fund at Robinson High School, 700 W. Tate Dr., Robinson, TX 76706.
