Lemuel Arthur Bailey October 29, 1922 - April 26, 2007 Lemuel Arthur Bill Bailey of Waco passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Waco Memorial Park with Minister Ernie Christie officiating. Bill was born October 29, 1922 in Hill County, graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1939. He married Norma Lane Overton in 1946. She died in 1984. He married Louise Armstrong Lightfoot in 1985 and they have been active members of Lake Shore Church of Christ until the present. Bill served in the U.S. Army, Medical Corp, Pacific Theater for four years and was awarded several medals for his service. He was with the U.S. Postal Service for 32 years, was a great cabinet maker for many years and was active in the Senior Citizens Club at Sul Ross. Bill was a 50 year Mason, Fidelis Lodge #1127. He is survived by his wife, Louise Bailey of Waco; one son, Keith Bailey and wife, Kay and one granddaughter, Kira Bailey; two step-daughters, Linda Lightfoot Phemister and husband, Wayne; Janet Lightfoot Long and husband, Leslie; four step-grandchildren and four step- great-grandchildren.
