Lena Clarice West

Lena Clarice West, 64, of Eddy, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007, at home from a long term illness. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 5, at 11:30 at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, from 12-2 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Lena was born in Waco, TX. She attended University High from 1957 – 1960, where she was involved in the Termite Singing Quartet. On February 11, 1967, she married Ray West and became a dedicated military wife for the next 20 years. After her husband retired from the military, Lena managed a convenient store in Moody, TX for 13 ½ years. Lena enjoyed reading and crocheting until her sight failed her. She is preceded in death by her father, Hershel, and her mother, Flora Bray. She is survived by her husband Ray West; and sons, James William West, Timothy Wayne West; four stepchildren, Cindy Dreiling, James Ray West, Charles Lee West, and Vicki Schuler; brother, Hershel C.
