STAAS, LENA Lena O. Staas, age 96, of Waco, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2003 at a local nursing home. Services will be 2pm Thursday, September 25 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Staas was born June 1, 1907 in West to Edward and Ottilie Lucht Otto. She married R.W. Staas on November 20, 1924. He preceded her in death September 9, 1993. She was a member of Zion United Church. Survivors include daughters; Eleanora Cendrowski of Hewitt and Dorothy Dentry and husband, George of Salado, son, Edward H. Staas and wife, Dollie of Waco, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great grandchild. Memorials may be made to Zion United Church, 6347 IH 35, Waco, Texas 76706.
