Leo Blanco Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at the age of 89. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday March 10th, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Graveside will be 11:00 am, Monday March 11th, at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby, Texas. Leo was born January 20, 1929, in Osage, Texas. Leo had a passion for horses and the country life. He never met a stranger and was the light to every room. His favorite last words to anyone were, “I’m a lover, a fighter and a wild bull rider.” He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, daughter Mary Lou and step son Ronnie; sisters, Rebecca Leos, Fanny Cortez, Rosie Niskanen, Lucy Sauseda, Geneva Galindo; brothers, Jesse Blanco and Lee Blanco. Leo is survived by his sons, Jessie Blanco and wife, Barbara, Leo Blanco Jr. and wife, Debbie, Ralph Blanco and wife, Melinda; daughter, Sylvia Salinas and husband, Raymond ; sisters, ,Delores Vanguilder, Delphia Harvey; sister-in-law, Sarah Blanco; brothers, Charlie Blanco and Sammy Blanco Sr.; brother-in-law, John Galindo. The legacy Leo leaves behind is 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great –great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Blanco, Sammy Blanco Jr., Willie Leos, Johnny Gomez Jr. Steven Gomez, and Shawn Boyett.
