Leroy L. Clancy, Sr.

CLANCY, SR., LEROY LeRoy L. Clancy, Sr., age 78, of Hewitt died Tuesday, September 25, 2001 in a Houston hospital. Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 29th at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, September 28th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Clancy was born July 5, 1923 in Delhi, OK. He was a longtime resident of Hewitt. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Mildred Lois Hunter April 6, 1944 in Laredo, TX. Mr. Clancy retired in 1979 from Civil Service, U.S. Dept. of the Army in St. Louis. He was a member of American Legion Post #121. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Anna Lee Clancy, brother, Opie Clancy and sister, Estella Carnes. Survivors include: Wife: Mildred Lois Clancy of Hewitt Daughter: Judy Clancy of Houston Son: LeRoy Clancy, Jr. and wife, Aida of Waco Grandson: Patrick Clancy of Waco Sister: Ineta MacKall of Sun City West, AZ Brother: Ted Clancy and wife, Lillian of Sun City West, AZ Sister-in-law: Wilma Clancy of Horseshoe Bend, AR Brother-in-law: Fred Carnes And numerous other family members and friends.
