Leslie Wayne Jacobs November 2, 1961 - April 27, 2013 Leslie Wayne Jacobs, beloved husband and father, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Father Daniel Liu officiating. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Leslie was born November 2, 1961, in Ft. Worth to Leland and Shirley Jacobs. He was 51 years young and resided in Waco with his wife of 15 years, Melissa, and their two children, Preston Wayne Jacobs and Alexis Marie DePalma. He was a mechanic for most of his life, and currently worked at SpaceX. He owned and operated I-35 Kartway, a gokart racetrack, in Elm Mott for several years, where his children developed a love for racing. He loved watching his children race cars at Heart of Texas Speedway every week, and was so proud of them and their accomplishments on and off the racetrack. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Jacobs; daughter, Alexis Marie DePalma; and son, Preston Wayne Jacobs; all of Waco; sister, Denise Ayers and husband, Dennis; brother, Gary Jacobs and wife, Tammi; mother -in-law, Janice Sutter; father-in-law, Robert Sutter; sisters-in-law, Deidra Gay, Susan Bell and Patty Badtram; and numerous nieces and nephews.. Pallbearers are Edward Thompson, Johnny Japort, Wayne Bosley, Curtis DePalma, Jarrett Roberts, and Eugene Adamcik.
