SCHEINBRUM, LIBBIE Libbie Scheinbrum, age 86, of Dallas formerly of Waco, died Saturday, July 13, 2002 in Dallas. Services will be held at 1:30PM Thursday, July 18 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rabbi Mordecai Podet officiating. Burial will follow at Rodef Sholom Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 11:30AM-1:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Scheinbrum was born July 29, 1915 in Houston to Joe Harry and Lena Heymen Lewis. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in Houston. She married Bert Scheinbrum August 18, 1940. He preceded her in death April 22, 1987. She lived in Waco for 48 years, moving to Dallas in July 1998, to be closer to her daughters. Libbie traveled extensively including 23 U.S. states, Canada, Hungary, Austria and Israel. She also enjoyed gardening in her backyard. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Abe Lewis. Mrs. Scheinbrum was a member of Temple Rodef Sholom. Survivors include daughters, Frances Garcia and husband, Jim of Dallas and Lexie Swift and husband, Bob of Irving, grandchildren, Joanna Mosier, Karen Webb both of Dallas, and Ryan Swift of Irving, great grandchildren, Natalie and Amanda Mosier, sister, Sarah Lippman of Schulenburg, brothers, Max Lewis, Buddy Lewis, and Meyer Lewis all of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.
