LILLIE ANN VAHRENKAMP Lillie Ann Vahrenkamp, 97, died March 27, 2005 at a local hospital. Services will be at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. David Couchman officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. Monday at the funeral home. She was born September 30, 1907 in McGregor.. She attended school in McGregor. She moved to Waco on January 7, 1932. For over 45 years she worked in food service. She started working for F. W. Woolworth in Waco. She later became supervisor of Food Service for Woolworths ; for five states. After leaving Woolworth, she was employed by Baylor University as a dietician for over 25 years. During her time at Baylor she served many dignitaries, like past presidents of the United States, Grant Teaff, movie star Festus of Gunsmoke, and many, many others. She also helped many students by providing guidance and jobs in the cafeteria and provided supervision and help to many of her staff over the years. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church prior to which she was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a member of Eastern Star and the organist for several years for the Eastern Star. After living three and a half years in a nursing home, she went to be with the Lord. Survivors are sisters, Berniece Parker and Viola Carruth of Waco; brother, Will Vahrenkamp and wife Louise of Ft.
