LINDA STORY Linda Gay Story, 49, of Waco died Friday November 2, 2001 after a long battle against Ovarian Cancer. A Memorial service will be held 10:30am Saturday November 10, 2001 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in the Pace Auditorium with Rev. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Linda was born July 13, 1952 to Bill and Helen Story in Waco. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waco, Texas. She attended schools in Waco, Odessa and Richardson before graduating from Richardson High School in 1970. She attended Baylor, The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston where she received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1974. In 1973 she married Darius Noori, who she met while attending Baylor University. In 1975, Linda and Darius moved to California where she continued to practice as a Dental Hygienist. She received her BS in Health Science from California State University in Long Beach in 1980. In 1986 she and Darius went their separate ways. Linda continued her education and received her paralegal certificate from the University of West Los Angeles in 1989. Linda moved back to Texas in 1990 and decided to change her career as well. She graduated number one in her class at McLennan Community College in 1994 and went to work as an R.N. in surgery at Hillcrest Hospital. She received her BSN from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1996. She loved her work and was devastated when she was forced by ill health to retire in November 2000. Linda’s great loves in life were traveling and animals. She always said, “One could not have too much or too many of either”. She was also a voracious reader and crossword puzzle solver. Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Schroeder Story and her Maternal Grandmother, Effie Schroeder. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Bill and Nell Story of Waco; Grandmother, Oma Story of Waco; Brother and Sister in Law, Dr. Mark and Peggie Story of Waco; Brother , Alan Story and his special friend, Ms. Jaye Greenawalt of Dallas; Niece. Elizabeth Story and Nephew, Matthew Story of Waco. Linda also leaves behind Her Beloved Pets, 3 cats and 1 dog and numerous Close Friends who will miss Her presence in their lives. Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Community Hospice, Fuzzy Friends Animal Shelter or to the Animal Charity of Your Choice. WILKIRSON – HATCH – BAILEY
