Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Linda was born November 21, 1944, in Waco, to Roman and Wilhelmina Sulak Klein. She was raised in Waco where she attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Reicher Catholic High School, and later, McLennan Community College where she earned a degree in accounting. Linda met and married Dennis Hogan on November 18, 1967. She worked many years doing jobs at Library Binding, in-home childcare, Cox’s department store in advertising, and Texas Life Insurance Co. as an accountant. But her most fulfilling and rewarding job was being an amazing mother to her seven children and a grandmother to her 12 grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her children and her faith. She was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church and attended mass weekly. She was an animal lover and adored her dogs. Aside from her faith and family, Linda enjoyed dancing, gardening, sewing, drawing, and baking in which she won numerous awards for. She baked goods for many restaurants around Waco and dreamed to open her own bakery. Her selflessness and giving heart meant that no one came to her home without a home cooked meal. She was kind, gentle, graceful, and silly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Wilma Klein; husband, Dennis Hogan; and siblings, Virginia Klein, Dorothy Kessler and husband, Jack, and James ‘Jimmy’ Klein.
She is survived by her seven children, William ‘Bill’ Hogan and wife, Jenny, of Axtell, Jill Hogan of Jerrell, Amanda Dzamba and husband, Daniel, of Lorena, Amy Thompson and husband, Scott, of Dallas, Joel Hogan of Gainesville, Florida, Jennifer Hogan, of Waco, and Julie Hogan, of Waco; sisters, Johnnie Pace of Seguin, Texas, Rita Rogers of Katy, Texas and Judy Cornett of Tyler, Texas and Janie Klein; grandchildren, Roman Chester, Jonathan Davis, Daylen Hogan, Kristin Hogan, Madelynne Dzamba, Jacob Hogan, Vincent Schorlemmer, Alexander Schorlemmer, Lucas Schorlemmer, Ginger Thompson, Brynn Hogan, and Rosalie Thompson, and numerous nieces and nephews; she leaves behind two beloved dogs, Cinnamon and Stormy.
Pallbearers are William Hogan, Joel Hogan, Scott Thompson, Mark Mladenka, Roman Chester, Jacob Hogan, Alexander Schorlemmer, and Lucas Schorlemmer.
We would like to send a special thank you her daughters, Jennifer and Julie, for their unwavering care and dedication.
