Linda Hornow, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Cleveland Health Care Center in Cleveland, Texas. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Riesel Cemetery in Riesel, Texas.
Linda was born and grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from San Angelo High School. She was married to Henry Harwell of Riesel, in McKinney on June 6, 1956. She worked at a number of hospitals and churches throughout her career as an administrative assistant and financial counselor. The position she cherished the most was as an advocate with the HOTCOG Agency on Aging, where she provided seniors with counseling and guidance.
Linda was proceeded in death by her husbands, Henry Harwell and then Steven Hornow; her father, Robert Lawson; mother, Frances Lawson; sister, Bobbie Tate; sister, Mozelle Wilson; and brother, Ector Lawson.
Linda’s survivors include her son, Gaylon Harwell and wife, Patti, of Bedias, Texas; sister, Carolyn Nutt of Conroe, Texas; brother, Edward Lawson and wife, Olga, of Altus, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Evie and Perry Rickard; and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will include her son Gaylon, and nephews Andy Harwell, Otis Harwell, Timothy Harwell, Dale Harwell, and Michael Andrews.
Memorials may be made to the Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Conroe, Texas.
