Linda White April 18, 1944 - April 23, 2011 Linda Jo White, 67, passed away peacefully into everlasting life on Saturday, April 23, 2011. A memorial honoring her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, at King Memorial Methodist Church in Whitney, with the Rev. Jerry Irvin officiating. She will be buried next to her parents in Gordon, Nebraska. Born on April 18, 1944, to Joseph and Ruth Olson in Gordon, she married Thomas Paige White on August 6, 1965, in Hay Springs, Nebr. She graduated from Hay Springs High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She moved with her husband from Nebraska to Texas in 2003 to be near and enjoy time with their son and grandsons. "New Grandma," as she was lovingly called by her grandsons, cherished spending time with them baking, playing games, and watching their basketball games and school activities. She loved her dogs, planting beautiful flowers, and was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. She was a member of King Memorial Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 46 years; son, Bradley Thomas White of New York and Whitney; grandsons, Austen Jett and Michael Bradley White of Robinson; sister, and brother-in-law, Rhoda and Ronald Peters; and nephews, Greg and Alan Peters of Longmont, Colorado. We would like to thank the staff of St. Catherine's and Providence Hospice for the wonderful care they provided our mother and grandmother.
