Lloyd Warren September 22, 1925 - December 4, 2009 Lloyd Warren of Waco passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, at his home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Mark Whitmer and Rev. Suzanne Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Lloyd was born September 22, 1925, in Temple, Texas to Henry and Myrtle Warren. Known to many as “Chief”, Lloyd was the founder of Jack “N” Jill Donuts and creator of the “Secret Recipe.” Throughout his life, Lloyd was always active in his community. Lloyd was involved for many years with Lake Air Little League, Waco NW Kiwanis, Hub of Texas and Texas Angus Association, along with the American Angus Association. He served on the Vocational Advisory Committee at Robinson High School. Lloyd was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church. Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Owen Warren; and sister, Doris Forest. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris L. Warren of Waco; sons, Rick Warren and wife, Denny, of Robinson; Randy Warren and wife, Carol, of Ft. Worth; sister, Alline Allen of Waco; grandchildren, Dr. Scott Warren and wife, Ashley, of Waco; Brad Warren of West Palm Beach, Fl: and Kayla Warren of Richardson, TX.; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Bruce Bowman, Jon Spelman, Bill Martin, Robert Bohne, Charles Rimmel and Royce Berger. The family would like to thank everyone involved in his care over the past several months, especially the staff of Providence Hospice and his friends and neighbors.
