Lois Marie Sanders passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, at Waco Memorial Park with John DeGiorgio officiating.
Lois was born April 15, 1932, in McGregor, Texas, to Cody and Mabel Byford. Lois was educated in Bellmead public schools and graduated from La Vega High School in 1950. She was a long-time manager at the Hallmark store at Lake Air Mall in Waco. She was a huge Baylor fan and loved all Baylor sports. She loved her church, and most of all, her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William E. Sanders; sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and Boyd Pledger; and grandnephew, Chris Pledger.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Turner, of Plano; son, Craig Sanders and wife, Marla Sanders, of China Spring; grandchildren, Jeffrey Turner and wife, Tristyn, Jennifer Turner, Shaun Sanders, and Alyssa Van Vleet and husband, Dale; great-grandchildren, Jacob Turner, Graham Turner, Ryder Van Vleet, and Landrie Van Vleet; nephew, Barry Pledger and wife, Jennifer; and grandnephew, Jonathan Pledger, his wife, Kelli, and their son, Hayes.
Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church in Waco.
