Lonnie K. Sustaita Ii

December 18, 1935 — July 29, 2024

Lonnie K. Sustaita II passed away July 29, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.


Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 6, 2024, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Waco, Texas with Father Eduardo Jazo officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, with the rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas with Deacon Jessie Garza officiating.


Lonnie was born in Temple, Texas, December 18, 1935, to Eloisa Kesada, and Leonisio Sustaita. He married Nasaria (Nancy) the love of his life on August 22, 1955. He loved playing golf with all his sons, grandsons and many golf buddies. He loved watching The Dallas Cowboys and The Houston Astros as well as watching boxing matches. Lonnie attended church at St. Francis Catholic Church in Waco, Texas for over 50 years.


Lonnie was preceded in death by parents, Eloisa Diaz and Leonisio Sustaita; his son, Lonnie Sustaita Jr.; sisters, Mona Guerrero, Gloria Olvera; brother, Candelario Sustaita; and his granddaughter, Vanessa Sustaita.


Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Nasaria (Nancy) Sustaita; sons, Gilbert Becerra and wife, Sylvia Becerra, Steve Sustaita, and significant other Mona Owens, Ernest Sustaita, Tommy Sustaita and wife, Stella Sustaita, Gary Sustaita, Albert Sustaita and wife, Denise Sustaita; daughters, Linda Sustaita, Brenda Sustaita, Sandy Sustaita, and significant other Felix Rivera, Cheri Stanley and husband Steve Stanley; his siblings, Mary Flores, Eloisa Cluke and brother, Sealy Diaz; Lonnie is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Albert Sustaita Jr., Stephen Ray Sustaita, Christopher Sustaita, Jonathan Sustaita, Nicholas Sustaita, Johnny Rogers Jr., Johntino Hernandez, Tommy Sustaita Jr., Andrew Ernest Sustaita, Chilo Olvera. Honorary Pallbearers Fernando Rogers, Jordan Maricle and Felix Rivera III


Memorials may be made to Nasaria (Nancy) Sustaita.
