Lorita Gail Manning, age 74, passed away Friday evening, May 14, 2021 at Avanti Senior Living Community in Cypress, Texas after battling Dementia and Parkinson Disease. Services will be held at 10 am, Monday, May 24 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ater Cemetery in Ater, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, May 23, 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Lorita was an exceptional woman, devoted wife and mother. She was born September 6, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas, growing up in the Golden triangle area of Southeast Texas, where she met and married Mr .Charles Manning. A graduate of Baylor University, receiving the degree of Master of Science in Education, she was a lifetime educator with a passion to educate our younger generations in the Waco school system. She was also a devoted member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. Lorita is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Charles Manning and daughter, Ms. Lynda Manning. Survivors are her son, Mr. Mark Manning of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. June Neidell of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Sharon Stansel of Cypress, Texas. In addition, to multiple nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to American Parkinson Disease Association in Mrs. Manning's memory.
