Louella Christian Armstrong

Louella Christian Armstrong, 93, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully April 16, 2025, at a local nursing home.

A Celebration of Life will be held for friends and family Saturday August 2, 2025. The location and time for the celebration will be advised through invitation. There will not be a memorial service

Lou was born in 1931 in Dallas, Texas where she attended Adams High School and met her future husband, Jim Christian. They married December 29, 1949. Lou and Jim eventually moved to Waco where she was homemaker, mother, worked at Central Texas Iron Works, Montgomery Ward, and Meals on Wheels. Lou was an active member of First Presbyterian Church at 1100 Austin Avenue. Several years after Jim passed away, Lou met her second husband Charlie Armstrong during Sunday early service. They married September 12, 2008.

Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Christian; oldest son, Gary Christian; husband, Charles Armstrong; and younger brother, Donald Lish of Midlothian, Texas.

Lou is survived by her son, Douglas Christian and wife Nancy Christian; son, Bryan Christian and wife Susan Christian; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Christian; and grandchildren, Jahan Christian, Jeannette McDaniel, Kelsey Presson, Becky Ingle-Dyer, Russ Christian, Bradley B.J. Christian.
