Louise McMahan Kincannon September 28, 1925 January 28, 2015 Louise McMahan Kincannon of Waco passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Visitation will be 2:00 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. A private, family burial will be officiated by Dr. Jeter Basden. Louise was born September 28, 1925, in Waco, Texas, to William B. and Jessie Appleby of Eddy, Texas. She graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School and then attended 4-C Business College. She married James E. McMahan in 1949 and together they had a long and successful career in the motel business in Alabama. Upon retirement they returned to Waco and Louise spent several years in office management at Waco Apparel Manufacturing. Jim and Louise were avid golfers and enjoyed many outdoor sporting activities together. Through their travels she was able to play many of the wonderful golf courses throughout the South, and she enjoyed many years participating in the Ridgewood Women's Golf Association. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, spoiling first her granddaughters, and then her precious great grandchildren. After Mr. McMahan's death, Louise later married her first grade sweetheart, Wayne Kincannon. They enjoyed years of traveling, playing golf, and enjoying the ranch in Lorena until his death in 2005. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim McMahan; husband, Wayne Kincannon; and stepson Keith Kincannon. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Fowler and son-in-law, Marc, of Eddy, Texas; stepson, Kelly Kincannon and wife, Diana, of Berryville, Virginia; daughter-in-law, Pam Kincannon, of Jasper, Texas; granddaughters, Dr. Katy Britt, and Emily Offill and husband, Paul, of Waco; the joys of her life, great grandchildren, Camille Britt, Katylu Offill and Marc Offill all of Waco, and many extended family members and goods friends. The family wishes to express tremendous gratitude to her care givers and special friends who assisted her over the past several years, Comfort Keepers; nurses and therapists of Bluebonnet Home Health Care; Al and Nadine Butler, Terri Rowell, and Ethel and Tom Carlett. The family requests memorials be made to the Bruceville-Eddy Volunteer Fire Department at 143 Wilcox, Eddy TX 76524.
