LOUISE BRENDER Louise H. Brender, 93, of Waco died Sunday March 3, 2002 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 3:30PM Wednesday March 6th at Waco Memorial Park with Dr. Rebecca Whitaker officiating. A visitation for friends will begin 7:00PM until 8:30PM Tuesday at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. Louise was born June 11, 1908 in Northwood, Iowa to the late August and Julia Towne Hildenbrand. She attended schools in Iowa and Minnesota and later Hamiltons University in Mason City, Iowa. She moved to Peoria, Illinois in October of 1925 to live with her father’s sister. She married Howard J. Brender on February 7, 1942; he has since preceded her in death January 9, 1982. She was also preceded by her sister and brother. The Brenders moved to Waco in March of 1956. She worked as an accountant for the Hicks Construction Co. and the Linden Coone Construction Co. Louise was a Presbyterian Elder and a member of the former Lakeshore Presbyterian Church and was an active member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Waco. Survivors include Nephews; Lowell A. Brady and wife Sharon of Greeley, CO and H. Laverne Torgenson of Wichita, KS. Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church. WILKIRSON – HATCH – BAILEY
