LOUISE MOSLEY Eva Louise Mosley, age 88 of Waco died Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10am Friday, February 13 at Oakwood Cemetery with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Thursday, February 12 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Louise was born May 6, 1915 at Emhouse, Texas to George and Carrie Howell Adams. She graduated from Corsicana High School in 1933 where she was class salutatorian and a cheerleader. She married W. J. Jimmy Mosley, Jr. September 6, 1936 in Waco. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her sister Edna Fay in 1927. Louise lived in Bellmead for many years where she was active in civic affairs. She was president of the Bellmead Garden Club and served terms as president of LaVega High School PTA. She was employed at Green’s Drug Store in Bellmead and later at Williams Drugs in Waco. She was a longtime employee at Cox’s Department Store in Waco as buyer for the cosmetics department. After retiring in 1981 from Cox’s, she continued to work until 1991 as cashier at Leslie’s Chicken Shack where her husband was manager. She was a member of ABWA. Louise was an active church member at Bellmead First Baptist and later when they moved to Waco at Western Heights. Survivors include son, Jim Mosley and wife, Pat of Hewitt; granddaughters, Lisa Dillard and husband, Robert of Corinth, Texas and Lori Mosley of West Covina, California; great granddaughter, Megan Dillard; and aunt Tessie Haynes of Corsicana. The family gratefully thanks the staff of Regent Care Center for their gracious support and care and thanks to Louise’s neighbors, Joe and Betty Goodman for looking after her.
