HOOKS, LOUISE Louise Porter Mrs. J.B. Hooks, age 89, of Austin, formerly of Waco died Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at an Austin hospital. Services will be held at 2:30PM Friday, December 7th at Western Heights Baptist Church with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Hooks was born March 7, 1912 in Hill County near the Mount Antioch Community. She attended Rosebud and Waco Schools. She married J.B. Bert Hooks. They owned and operated Hooks’ Majestic Cleaners for many years. Mr. Hooks preceded her in death July 7, 1971. She was a charter member of Western Heights Baptist Church, where she was active in the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Walter Baldwin Chapter #929 of O.E.S. and Merak Temple #104 Daughters of the Nile. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rubye Bexley and her brother, Ray Porter. Survivors include daughter, Jane Hooks Gibson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, grandchildren, ToniKay Osgood and husband, John, Jr. of Austin, Joe T. Gibson, III of Austin, Scott Gibson of Croton, New York, great grandchildren, Abby Louise and Benjamin John Osgood, nephews, James B. Bexley of Huntsville, and Kenneth Ray Porter of Richland, Washington. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
