Louise Carlisle Schell Stafford October 12, 1915 - June 11, 2012 Louise Carlisle Schell Stafford, 96, passed away this morning, June, 11, 2012, at 2:00 a.m., peacefully in her sleep at her home at Prestonwood Court in Plano, Texas. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, at Oakwood Cemetery with the Dr. Matt Snowden officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at Oakwood Cemetery, Thursday morning. Louise was born October 12, 1915, and lived most of her life in Waco. She graduated from Waco High School and worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company in Waco. She had a long career as the personal secretary to the plant manager until her retirement. She wrote a column called, "Schell's Tales" in the company newspaper which was always full of interesting happenings of everyone who worked there. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church in Waco where she was active in her Sunday school class and their choir. Louise was the last surviving child of Joseph and Katie Maury Carlisle. Their family consisted of ten children. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Cantrell Schell and Travis Robert Stafford. She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Schell Cornett and husband, Joe, of Dallas, TX; two granddaughters, Maury Jo Lott and husband, Craig, of Carrollton, Texas, Carrie Louise Cornett, of Clearwater, Florida; and three great grandchildren, Lindsey Lott and husband, Jerry, of San Antonio, Texas, Taylor and Cameron Lott of Carrollton, Texas; three step-children, Kaye Glover, Brenda Sharp, and Richard Stafford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
