Louise was born March 10, 1927, in Italy, Texas, to Earl and Beadie Wilson. She was the oldest of four children and the only daughter. She grew up in the countryside near Aquilla and Latham Springs Camp. She played basketball in high school. She met her husband, Raymond shortly after he returned from serving in WWII at his family’s grocery store. A lifelong learner, Louise returned to school in her fifties to become a registered nurse. She was an avid reader, storyteller and wonderful cook, known for her delicious desserts and treats at family functions. Her true love besides her family and neighbors was her love of God and gardening. She spent countless hours in her yard caring for her flowers, including the precious rose bush planted in honor of her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Eugene Gilliam, her brothers, Hollis, who died serving his country in Korea, Harlan, and Leon Wilson; her daughter, Marsha Krause, and grandson, Austin Krause. She is survived by her son, Dennis Gilliam, and daughter-in-law, Marsha Gilliam, son in law, Curtis Krause, sister in law, Dixie Wilson and her son, Brian; grandchildren, Marisa Gilliam, Brandon Gilliam and wife, Joanne, Kara Krause; great grandchildren, Gavin and Kayden Fields, caring neighbors Kevin, Valerie, Donna and Aletha, as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
