Lucille Shudde Crain Lucille Shudde Crain, 92, of Waco, passed away peacefully January 31, 2008, in Waco, Texas. Private internment will be at Harris Creek Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodway First United Methodist Church at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 2nd, with the Reverend Dr. Jeff Smith officiating. A proud native Texan, she was born in Houston, graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1934, and John Sealy School of Nursing in Galveston in 1938. She married the late Lovell B. Crain in 1941, resided in Houston, and has lived in Waco for more than thirty years. After completing nursing school, she spent many years serving others as a registered nurse. She enjoyed many lifelong friendships, and especially loved singing and playing bridge with her friends in Houston and Waco. She was blessed with a clear mind and enjoyed many experiences memories in her long life. She was preceded in death by parents, Mary Elizabeth and Walter Theophil Shudde; her husband; and brother, Lee Joseph Shudde. Survivors include sister, Rosalie Schmedes of Austin; daughter and son-in-law Kathleen and Hendrik Tol of Robinson, son and daughter-in-law Lee and Kathy Crain of Houston; grandchildren Amy Tol, Andrew Crain, and Rachel Crain; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many devoted neighbors and friends. Memorials may be made to Harris Creek Cemetery Association, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the charity of your choice.
