October 10, 1931 — August 18, 2002

BRIGHAM, LUCILLE WILLIAMS Lucille Williams Brigham, 70, of Waco died Sunday, August 18, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 1:30pm Wednesday, August 21 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd.with Dr. Scott Walker and Dr. Herbert Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8pm Tuesday, August 20 at the funeral home garden room. Mrs. Brigham was born October 10, 1931 in Waco to Dr. Walter Jefferson Williams and Lucy Sue Abney Williams. She was a graduate of Waco High School and Baylor University, where she completed her Bachelors and Masters Degree studies. She taught at Baylor for over 45 years and devoted much of her life to the university and its activities, one of which was being faculty sponsor for Kappa Alpha Theta. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Waco. She loved to travel with her family and lovingly enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Mary Sue Hayward and husband, Chris of Dallas and Shari Lynn Wilfong and husband, John of Waco; son, John Edwin Brigham and wife, Jan of Waco; grandchildren, Brooke Brigham, Brian Brigham, Rachel Wilfong, Mathew Wilfong, and Meghan Wilfong and many cousins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Walter J. and Lucy Sue Williams and Lucille Williams Brigham Scholarship Fund at Baylor University or The Panhellenic Building at Baylor University.
