SMITH, LUCINDA LOPEZ Lucinda Lopez Smith, age 83, was called home to the Lord Wednesday, January 29, 2003 from her residence in Waco. Services will be held at 10am Saturday, February 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with the Rev. Jessie McKinnerney officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, January 31 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith was born December 10, 1919 to Guillermo and Gregoria Lopez in Raymondville, Texas, where she was raised with two brothers and five sisters. In 1943, she joined the Army in service to our country for WWII, where she met her husband, Robert V. Smith. They became ministers of the gospel of Christ Jesus in 1957. For many years they gave prayer and counseling to those in need. She loved to sing and praise the Lord everyday at every opportunity. Always telling others of Christ Jesus and believing in his love and eternal life, she was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her husband May 2001. Survivors include daughters, Linda Walley of Buffalo, New York and Lois Smith of Waco; sons, Robert W. T. Smith, Orlando Smith both of Waco, Paul J. D. Smith of Buffalo, New York, and Robert W.L.
