Lynn Wilson December 6, 1949 August 31, 2012 Lynn Wilson passed away on August 31st at Scott and White Hospital. Lynn had been fighting the effects of a devastating stroke for the past two years. A celebration of her life will be held at her home in Coryell County on October 20th. Lynn was born on December 6th, 1949, to her parents, Rabe and Leta Bryan Wilson. She grew up in Waco, Texas and was a ninth generation Wacoan. She attended McLennan Community College in Waco and later transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. Lynn married and made her home in Austin for many years, and also lived for a small time in San Diego, California. She returned to Waco in 1995 to care for her elderly mother. She was the happiest at her job with a local law firm, where she served as a paralegal for the firm's Founder for twelve years. Lynn was very devoted to her job, her friends, and her family. She also loved spending time at her brother's ranch in Coryell County, looking for arrowheads and enjoying nature at its best. She loved to stay in a remote cabin on the ranch, many times spending weekends there. She also loved any place with water, be it ocean, lakes, or the clear running creeks of the ranch. Lynn was diagnosed with a form of leukemia three years ago, but managed to never let that disease slow her down in her life. That disease increased the desire in Lynn to know more about the Spiritual side of life, and added to her already voracious love of reading. She had two cats, Sam and Sadie that were also loves of her life. Lynn suffered a major stroke in August of 2011 which left her paralyzed on her right side and also with the loss of most of her speech. She was given no chance for survival at that time, but managed to survive as well as improve her life up until the time of her second stroke on August 26th. She finally succumbed to her frail body on Friday, August 31st with her brother at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rabe and Leta Bryan Wilson and her brother, Bryan Wilson of Cozumel, Mexico. Lynn is survived by her brother, Brooks Wilson and his wife, Margaret. Lynn has designated the National Stroke Association www.stroke.org as her choice of any memorial contributions in her name. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our "Memorial Guestbook" at www.wilkirsonhatchbailey.com.
